Recently, Cyberpunk 2077 has released version 2.0, which includes a significant amount of changes and adjustments that enhance the original gaming experience. Additionally, on September 26th, Phantom Liberty, a complete content expansion, will be available. Despite the game being almost three years old since its release, it has managed to compete with Starfield, one of the biggest releases of the year on Steam.
According to The Gamer, Cyberpunk 2077’s player base on the Valve platform has increased by over 900% in the past few days thanks to the latest update patch. Moreover, during the same period of time, the game has reached a peak of 162,610 concurrent players. These figures are impressive considering the game is not a novelty anymore, and for some hours, it even managed to surpass Starfield on the list of most played games.
As for the Phantom Liberty expansion, the reviews have been positive. Although Cyberpunk 2077 has not become a perfect game, CD Projekt’s title has improved significantly. While there are still some shortcomings, such as the lack of importance of statistics outside of combat, many of the issues have been addressed with previous updates and the 2.0 update. Phantom Liberty offers a significant amount of entertaining and high-quality content, with linear and spectacular moments that have surprised players. This expansion seems to be the perfect time to venture into Night City for the first time or revisit it.
