Google has announced a new line of Chromebook Plus laptops aimed at offering more power and capabilities in Artificial Intelligence (AI). Chromebooks have become popular in the laptop market, especially in the education sector, due to their Chrome OS operating system and focus on lightweight tasks and cloud usage.

AI has been utilized in various systems, such as Google Photos and online Photoshop, for unwanted element removal and productivity enhancement in image editing. Equipping Chromebook Plus with AI acceleration will allow them to improve in these tasks.

The new series of Chromebook Plus will feature improvements in CPUs, moving away from low-end Intel and AMD solutions. Instead, options like the Core i3 Alder Lake processors or the AMD Ryzen 3 7000 series will be used. Additionally, they will have a minimum of 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.

Another requirement for the new Chromebook Plus will be the inclusion of Full HD or higher resolution displays, as well as a 1080p webcam with AI enhancements for video conferences.

The first models of Chromebook Plus will be launched on October 9th, although the AI improvements will not arrive until next year. Manufacturers like Acer, ASUS, HP, and Lenovo already have their models prepared.

With this new line of Chromebook Plus, Google seeks to offer users a more powerful and efficient experience, harnessing the capabilities of Artificial Intelligence.
