In iOS 17, Apple has introduced a new feature that allows you to create contact cards on your iPhone. This new interface will be displayed when you receive a phone call, replacing the small image with a full-screen poster.
This feature can be applied to any contact, both new and existing. You also have the option to create a card for your own contact. To do this, simply change the contact image and add a new one in full screen.
You can use any photo for this feature, but keep in mind that contact cards are vertical, so it’s best to choose a photo with space above the head for the name.
To create a contact card, access the Contacts application on your iPhone. Within the list of contacts, select an existing one or create a new one. If you’re editing an existing contact, tap the “Edit” button.
Within the contact editing, select the option to edit the profile picture. If it’s an existing contact, you will see an edit button. If not, you will have a button to add a photo. Choose the “New poster” option to create the card.
Next, the screen to create a new poster will open. You will see four different options: Camera, Photos, Memoji, and Monogram.
The “Camera” option allows you to take a photo to use as the poster. “Photos” allows you to select an image from your phone’s gallery. If you don’t want to use a photo, you can choose a Memoji and customize it. Finally, “Monogram” is a composition of the contact’s initials.
Select the type of card you want to create and configure the image or display you prefer. You can try different options and filters before saving the changes. You can also customize the name that will appear on the card by choosing the font, size, and color.
Take your time to set up your contact card and save the changes when you’re done.
