The release of Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections has created great anticipation among anime fans. This new game developed by CyberConnect2 promises to be the most complete and satisfying experience we have seen so far in the franchise. Additionally, the game will feature a completely original story set in the Boruto era.

Until now, there were many doubts about what the story mode of Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections would be like. However, in a new trailer released by the company, all doubts have been dispelled.

One of the main innovations is that the story mode will have a level selector, just like in previous installments of the franchise. This means that we will no longer be able to control Naruto throughout the adventure and unlock missions progressively, as was the case in Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2.

Instead, the game will follow the same approach used in Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, where fights take place across different screen selections. This choice has been a disappointment for many fans, as they were hoping the game would return to offering the freedom of movement and exploration that characterized the early installments of the Ninja Storm franchise.

Although some justified the previous decision due to the “impossibility” of offering an open world during the moments of the Ninja War, it was not expected that Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections would adopt this approach again for the main story of the adventure, at least until reaching the events of the war.

Fortunately, the studio has decided to animate all the cinematic scenes in the game’s story, unlike the previous title where many frames from the anime were used. Fans will be pleased to enjoy this cinematic experience.
