The year 2023 is coming to an end, and soon we will know the lists of the best video games released during these months. On the Metacritic website, we can already see the games that are leading the rankings thanks to their high scores.
In the past few weeks, two titles stand out above the rest in the ranking: The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Baldur’s Gate 3. However, surprisingly, another game unknown to many has appeared: Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out. This game has received such good reviews that it currently has an average score of 96.
Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out has secured itself in the second place of the best games of 2023, tying with the latest Zelda installment and Larian Studios’ RPG. These scores are due to the registered reviews and very positive feedback on Steam since its release on August 21.
But, what is this game about? Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out combines interactive fiction with turn-based strategy. Players will lead a clan, managing it in a world on the brink of destruction, where survival will depend on the relationship with the remaining gods and their followers.
The game promises great replayability, with over 600 interactive scenes and multiple outcomes. Additionally, the gameplay sessions are short, as each episode lasts just a few minutes and features an automatic save system. Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out is available for mobile devices on iOS and for PC through Steam.
